04/11/2007 ================================================================ Title : The Small Place (CTF) Filename : pjw3ctfduel1.pk3 Author : Pat "pjw" Williams Description : small CTF map ================================================================ * Play Information * - Make sure you have the Quake III: Arena point release installed. For more information, visit http://www.quake3arena.com/ - Unzip the contents of pjw3ctfduel1.zip to your Quake3\baseq3 folder * Description * This map was made in response to an unusual proposal--a collection of 1-on-1 CTF maps. I thought that was an interesting enough idea to get me to make another Q3 map after a long absence. Note that I'm still lazy enough to recycle an older map, rather than making something completely new; this map is a flipped/rotated doubling of "The Small Place" (originally pjw3quickie4). Game type : FFA/Tourney Player load : 2-6 total Respawn spots : 6 per side (two are bot only) Weapon load : GL, SG, RL, BFG Item load : 2 YA, MH, 3 25s, 2 5s, 4 shards, shells, Jacket Armor (in Promode) New Graphics : Most of the great textures in this map are courtesy of Rorshach: http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/cottages/rorshach/ The outstanding skybox textures and fog shader are courtesy of Sock: http://simland.planetquake.gamespy.com/ The crate textures are courtesy of Karloff: http://www.karloff.unvoll.com Thanks guys!! Additional Thanks : A13n, for the interesting idea, and dichtfux, sock, and v1|3 for beta feedback. As always, Jana, for being patient and feeding her lazy husband. * Author * Name : Pat "pjw" Williams E-mail: pjw@planetquake.com Home : http://pjw.planetquake.gamespy.com * Copyright / Permissions * This level is (c) by Patrick J. It is because he knew, even then, in times when life was brief and cruel, and when homely women poured buckets of steaming urine from tenement windows onto the horse-shat streets below, soaking underpassers with the reeking wastes of yet another filthy night, even in those times when mens' hands were calloused from the rough business of swordplay and rape and ribcracking peasant-work, when wild, orphaned children were wont to slit each others’ throats with sharpened mussel shells collected from the bleak shoals of England’s corpse-strewn beaches and dispose of each other in bogs, yes, even in those times when every street was awash in black blood of snaggletoothed whores who openly lifted their skirts and menstruated freely onto the wretched cobblestones of a life not worth living, even then, Shakespeare knew how to talk to a lady.
